Nadine Hurd, 37, was charged with second-degree theft by unlawful taking, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Monday, Sept. 30.
Investigators said Hurd spent more than $80,000 between 2018 and 2023 while working as the customer service and inventory manager for an unnamed manufacturing company in Wall Township.
An analysis of financial records found that Hurd used the company's credit card to buy personal items from more than 50 retailers. The purchases included a complete home kitchen remodel, new appliances, clothing, jewelry, patio furniture, and garden supplies.
Hurd surrendered to police on Friday, Sept. 27, and was released on a summons to await future court dates.
